I’m not sure if it’s the official death of my youth, post vacation blues or the fact that it is the WORST time of year in Chicago, but I haven’t wanted to do much of anything lately. If you’re feeling like me, here are some things to lounge in while contemplating every decision you’ve made in life.
Doing nothing but looking fabulous
I love how we’ve rebranded wrestling singlets as chic loungewear. A jumpsuit is the perfect way to feel pulled together while exerting minimal effort. I recently tried this one from Splits 59 and love it — it’s shaping but lightweight. A more budget friendly favorite is this one from LA Apparel. It also comes in a long sleeve.
Last year, I found the perfect pair of sweatpants at Uniqlo, and in a shocking turn of events, they discontinued them! These Aeire ones are a super comfy first runner up, and they also work well for short girls, because you can roll them up.
When you want to wear sweatpants but you must wear jeans, I swear by these Grlfrnd Denim from Revolve. Seriously, the most comfortable pair of jeans I own. They are perfectly baggy, but expensive. Full disclosure, I was gifted them, so for the past few months, I’ve been searching for a more reasonable option. I recently found a nice alternative from Gap. This wash is on sale! Go up one or two sizes if you like a baggy fit.
I fell in love with Soho House robes during my brief stint as an Under-27 member (ahh goodbye to my youth, again!). Knowing I had that big fluffy robe waiting for me at the end of my workday made my corporate life seem not so sad. Lucky for you, this robe is way cheaper than a membership!
There is plenty of online chatter about favorite t-shirts, and as always, I have something to add! Gap short sleeve, Gap long sleeve, and this little $4 number from Target that I love (only black available now).
I was wearing this off the shoulder, low back shirt from Amazon in a few TikTok’s this week. It’s really nice.
I am always on the hunt for good black pants. My ideal pair is loose but cinched at the waist and doesn’t look too much like a pair of trousers. I am loving these ones from Zara right now!
The perfect thing to throw over your do nothing outfit is a fabulous vintage fur! I promise spirits will be elevated.
This week I binged “Everything I Know About Love” on Peacock, a wonderful show about one of my favorite things: female friendships. The main character sports a bohemian, vintage silk robe throughout the show, and it reminded me of my best friend. She has a huge collection of vintage silk robes and always looks like an old Hollywood movie star. A perfect look to do nothing in but look desperately chic! Found some on Etsy: here, here and here!
I love this!
such perfect picks ❤️❤️❤️ as always
