Let’s get this out of the way: you absolutely do not need to purchase a whole new wardrobe for spring. That’s crazy, especially if you live somewhere like Chicago or New York, where you basically just end winter and head straight for 80 degrees. But if you are in the market for a few new staples, have I got a list for you. Here’s what I’ve been eyeing.
Denim
Vintage Levi’s are not bound by season, but if you are looking to invest in a pair, spring is a great time to show them off. I love styling mine simply with vintage heels (more on that later) and a tank. You can always sort through secondhand shops or flea markets to find your perfect pair, but for those of us less patient, I found two trustworthy Etsy shops offering vintage denim at a reasonable price: Noteworthy Garments and Jean Genie Vintage. Both offer measurements and conversions to modern denim sizes so you can find your perfect pair.
As reported on my TikTok: the jeans that give you the best butt ever.
I’ve recommended these a million times, but now they’re on sale! Go a full size down, and they’ll still be super slouchy.
I’ve been searching high and low for the perfect pair of off white denim, and earlier this month, I pulled the trigger on these. Pricey, but the perfect shade.
Outerwear

These days I am all about a rich, lived in brown leather. The dream is this Khaite jacket, but who can afford it? Instead, I recommend shopping secondhand for two reasons: you can get so much more value with secondhand leather, and they’re already broken in. Leather looks better as it ages. I’ve rounded up a bunch on The Real Real. I’ve also had luck searching Wilsons Leather on Poshmark.
Massimo Dutti’s leather is great quality and craftsmanship for the price. They’re making several similar styles to the Khaite jacket. This is the closest dupe and I love cropped leather trench.
Shoes
Nothing new to report here, still wearing my vintage point toe mules! Warning, wearing these will make you Carrie-Bradshaw-run everywhere you go. I’m sure you know what to look for, but I did some scrolling on TRR and found a few! A friend gave me a tip to use this liquid fashion tape to help the shoes stay on (should also work for sling backs).
In addition to kitten heels, I’ve been into a wedge as well. Staud makes an adorable pair.
I’m the absolute wrong person to go to for sneaker recommendations, but I’ll be wearing my Marathons this spring.
Everything Else

Who doesn’t love linen. H&M’s linen is surprisingly good for the price, but it goes quickly, so stock up now. I grabbed a shirt in off white.
I promise I’ll shut up about this dress soon, but I found something on Free People for under $100 that totally gives me the same vibe. It’s not a dupe by any means, but the feeling is similar, especially in the neckline and bodice. Think of it as the sexy older sister.
The tank top to end all tank tops and a $10 alternative on Zara.
I die over this corset. Ordered and waiting patiently!
A figure-hugging black skirt is an underrated basic. This looks fabulous on, and I’ll wear it all year.
I cannot get enough of sexy, brown leather! I need it in tote bag form too, and I found options on The Real Real. All the cool girls are adorning theirs with charms. Think Jane Birkin without having to spend $15,000.
please do an Italian summer edition! I need you!!
so good ❤️
