Hi everyone! This week is dedicated to the moms. My mom is one of the hardest people to shop for because she already has everything, so I tried to curate a list that has a little something for everyone. Of course, a gift card to a spa or a bouquet of fresh flowers would make wonderful gifts but they’re a little predictable and boring. Hopefully the list below inspires you and as always, thank you for reading!
SKINCARE -
My favorite luxe skincare treat is the Sisley Paris Black Rose Cream Mask - it’s a splurge, sure, but the fragrance, consistency and plumping effect make it well worth it. I would love to receive this as a gift!
For a more budget friendly option, my mom always asks for Caudalie Beauty Elixir, who doesn’t love a little spritz?
Luxe body oil with the most beautiful but subtle vetiver scent.
FRAGRANCE -
My mom’s favorite perfume is Portrait of a Lady (it’s also one of my most treasured bottles as well!) — its a bit of a splurge but so regal and always one of our top compliment getters!
If you want to give mom a taste of everything the MFK sample set has all the favorites: Gentile Fluidity Gold, BR540, Amyris, and more.
I love giving Santa Maria Novella products as gifts because they’re so elegantly packaged; the Rosa Eau de Cologne is bright, floral, feminine and perfect for summer.
HOME -
Putting my number one pick first; any mom would LOVE this custom platter by Tricia Lowenfield - there’s a smaller plate options for a lower price point available on her site as well.
I’ve had my eye on purchasing an Estelle Colored Glass set for either my mom or my sister for some time.
Can’t go wrong with a really good - and I mean really good - olive oil.
For the mom who loves to cook (like mine) Le Creuset’s Classic Enameled Cast Iron is on sale for $99 + free shipping!
Handmade dessert plates from Bennington Potters in Vermont. I love both the yellow and dark blue splatter!
Don’t care if this is basic, everyone loves getting a Diptyque candle!
BEAUTY -
Cle De Peau pressed powder is a purse essential for an elegant woman. This actually really works and the packaging is just phenomenal.
The multi-use capability of Chanel’s Lip and Cheek Balm would make it a great gift for a new mom.
Mason Pierson pocket hairbrush because no one would ever spend this much on a hairbrush for themselves but it is really nice to have.
VINTAGE - It wouldn’t be an “Ida” gift guide without some vintage/secondhand picks!
A sweet little Chanel wallet coming in at $217, split it with your sister for a memorable gift just over $100.
My sister and I have given my mom a few vintage Hermes scarfs over the years - this one in their “Regina” print is just so special.
ACCESSORIES -
Birkenstock Madrid sandals perfect for a glam mom who wants to be comfy on vacation.
Who doesn’t love a floppy straw hat?
Chic sunglasses that look like Celine but are under $100! I have these and love them. [EDIT: It’s not letting me link direct but they are the ‘Unreal’ in TORT]
You can get this cashmere wrap monogrammed for just $10 extra.
PERSONALIZED -
I just got this custom lined notebook to do my morning pages and it would also make a great gift. While we’re talking about morning pages, you should also buy her The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron - being an artist not required!
I’ve always wanted personalized stationary but never spent the money to get it, maybe your mom is the same?
Thoroughly enjoyed this curation!!!
